BEGA Gateway Privacy Policy in accordance with the GDPR

The protection and security of your personal data ("pbD") is our top priority. Accordingly, we comply with the statutory regulations in order to offer your data the best possible protection. In the following, we would like to inform you about the type, scope and purpose of data processing:

BEGA Gantenbrink-Leuchten KG (hereinafter "BEGA") does not collect any personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. General Information

The BEGA Gateway app allows users to control the luminaires installed in and around their property via smartphone or tablet.

4. Collection and use of data

BEGA does not process any personal data within the meaning of Art. Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR by means of installation and/or use of the Gateway App by the user.

No cookies or analysis tools are used.

5. Rights of the user

Even if BEGA does not process any personal data, for the sake of completeness we would like to point out the legal rights of the user in the event of data processing.

If the legal requirements are met, the user has the right to information about personal data that BEGA has stored about them at any time, Art. 15 GDPR, as well as the right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR, restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR, erasure of their data, Art. 17 GDPR.

If the user has asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing vis-à-vis the bodies referred to in sections 2 or 3, all recipients to whom the personal data concerned have been disclosed will be notified of this rectification or erasure of the data or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.

The user also has the right to withdraw consent once given (Art. 7, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR), Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. The proper withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data collection carried out up to that point.

The user also has the right to object, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her which is based on point (e) or (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR, Article 21 GDPR.

In addition, if the legal requirements are met, the user has the right to receive the personal data they have provided to BEGA in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR).

To exercise the above-mentioned rights, the user may contact the offices specified in sections 2 or 3.

Furthermore, the user has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, Art. 77 GDPR.
