Compact floodlights

In terms of design and quality, BEGA compact floodlights are the absolute benchmark for this type of luminaire. In terms of design, we only tweaked the floodlights slightly over time. With regards to technology, however, they now feature some impressive new developments. Our ongoing efforts for optimisation have further expanded their performance spectrum to offer countless possibilities for perfect light staging. The technological innovations of our BEGA compact floodlights minimise the diffuse light percentage for even more targeted lighting scenarios. The new black diffuse light cone optimises the glare suppression of the floodlights. Our optical systems BEGA Hybrid Optics® allow highly efficient light control in terms of directionality of the light.

The optical system BEGA Ultradark Optics® utilises a combination of internal louvres and an ultra black nano coating inside the luminaire to minimise the diffuse light percentage. Additional, highly efficient glare suppression guarantees optimal eye comfort.

The focussed, wide beam or very wide beam light distribution of BEGA compact floodlights makes them ideally suited for a wide variety of applications. These luminaires are also available with infinitely adjustable zoom optics for even greater flexibility in terms of responding precisely to on-site requirements.

The versatility of these floodlights is rounded off by numerous convenient mounting options. The BEGA compact floodlights for our garden lighting system BEGA UniLink® come with a connection adapter for various mounting options using BEGA accessories or an earth spike.

Floodlights with earth spike are portable, meaning their position in the ground can be changed. Accessories for these floodlights include shields and exchangeable lenses to change the light distribution. These can be used individually or in groups.

All BEGA UniLink® luminaires come with a factory-fitted, five-metre-long connecting cable with a waterproof plug connector. This can be used to connect extension cables or even five-way distribution boxes, if required. This makes it quick and easy to position several luminaires in remote locations in a garden, for example. The system can be expanded or modified at any time by means of additional five-way distribution boxes and extension cables, and with additional luminaires with BEGA UniLink® plug connectors.

BEGA profile poles provide the perfect solution for a wide range of lighting applications with directed light from a single location with up to eight floodlights.

Two BEGA performance floodlights fit into each profile groove on the pole. Up to eight floodlights with different outputs and half beam angles can therefore be arranged for the desired illumination.

Historical façade
Various different luminaires are used to illuminate historical façades. Beginning on the ground floor, arcades are illuminated with in-ground floodlights. Here it is important to make sure that the luminaires can stand up to being driven over by car tyres. Depending on the version of the luminaires, pressure loads of up to 5000 kg are possible. Between the floors, the house has ledges from where slim adjustable façade floodlights can illuminate the building. Their light distribution is symmetrical.

Shopping mall
The general illumination of the shopping mall is effected by downlights from a height of 12 m. The light is uniform and glare-free. The main area of the mall measures 28 x 65 m. The surrounding galleries are illuminated by recessed ceiling luminaires. Additional light falls into the room from the adjacent shop windows. Individually adjustable compact floodlights on the borders of the galleries serve to emphasise individual areas, for example during events or exhibitions. A degree of illuminance of 200 lx is reached in the open area of the ground floor. Thanks to the light floor, the entire space makes a light and inviting impression.

Pedestrian bridge
There are many options for illuminating pedestrian bridges. Two completely different approaches are shown here. The bridge measures 20 x 2.4 m. The illumination standard DIN EN 13 201 for pedestrian walkways and cycle paths applies here. The average degree of illuminance required is 5 lx, and the minimum value is 1 lx. Pedestrians and cyclists should feel safe and therefore comfortable on the bridge. In addition, four compact floodlights emphasise the structural features of the bridge, thus increasing the striking effect they make from a distance.
