Pole-top luminaires and side-mounted pole-top luminaires

Asymmetrical flat beam light distribution

Luminaires with a high protection class and in safety class II whose comprehensive performance spectrum allows them to be implemented for numerous lighting applications in street, square and city illumination. They are available as pole-top luminaires or side-mounted pole-top luminaires. The asymmetrical flat beam light distribution is particularly suitable for illuminating streets in accordance with EN 13201.

Pedestrian walkway/cycle path
Pedestrians and cyclists, as well as the walkways or cycle paths, must be easy to detect visually. Good visibility of faces conveys a feeling of safety. The degree of illuminance for paths used by cyclists and pedestrians must comply with the standard DIN EN 13201-2, illumination class P4. A minimum of 1 lx is required. The average degree of illuminance is 5 lx. Pole-top luminaires with asymmetrical flat beam light distribution are used for illumination purposes. The mounting height is 5 m. The luminaire spacing is 30 m.

Pedestrian bridge
There are many options for illuminating pedestrian bridges. Two completely different approaches are shown here. The bridge measures 20 x 2.4 m. The illumination standard DIN EN 13 201 for pedestrian walkways and cycle paths applies here. The average degree of illuminance required is 5 lx, and the minimum value is 1 lx. Pedestrians and cyclists should feel safe and therefore comfortable on the bridge. In addition, four compact floodlights emphasise the structural features of the bridge, thus increasing the striking effect they make from a distance.
