DALI represents the ideal solution for professional lighting control. Older buildings – and specifically historical ones – often lack the two additional cores needed for controlling in their electrical installations. A technical workaround is needed to take advantage of the many benefits of DALI luminaires. The Smart DALI Controller takes care of that issue. It integrates each of the relevant luminaires and luminaire groups into the BEGA Smart world.
A Smart DALI Controller makes any building fit for smart lighting technology – without any need for structural changes. The trick is to install the controller between the older three-core cable and the new, five-core DALI-compatible lamp. This immediately gives access to all the benefits offered by the wireless controller: the illumination is dimmable and light colours and temperatures can be set and controlled individually. All that is done by a Smart DALI Controller for up to 15 DALI luminaires. A range of lighting scenarios can be saved and later accessed automatically. Take the kitchen, for example: clear, bright illumination while you cook — followed by warm, cosy lighting when you sit down to eat. Or at a historical palace: one lighting scenario for the gala reception, one for the summer party. The possibilities are virtually endless.
The system can be controlled easily and intuitively via the Smart Rotary Dimmer, the PRO and ONE remote controls, and the BEGA Smart app.
