Manoah Homes, Zeulenroda

Idyllic holiday homes with a sea view and BEGA lighting

For a moment, you get the impression of having arrived at a fjord in Sweden or Norway – not in Thuringia. The rich green of the forest and the unimpeded view of the sea give the feeling of being on holiday in Scandinavia. The modern MANOAH holiday homes have created a family-friendly holiday destination right at the edge of "Zeulenroda Sea" that stands out for its location, as much as for its natural-purist architectural style. The well-appointed chalets are illuminated with BEGA Licht.

The region around the officially recognised Zeulenroda resort is referred to as the "green heart of Germany". At a distance of around 40 kilometres from the city of Jena in Thuringia, 40 kilometres from Hof in Frankonia, and 90 kilometres to the closest airport Leipzig/Halle in Saxony, the facility is a well-connected and easy-to-reach retreat for holidaymakers in the area. Since late 2020, the many outdoor and water sports activities on offer, as well as the nature experience for hikers in the forested surroundings with a wealth of waterways, have been attracting families in particular.

Love for nature and the environment were the central theme for the 21 MANOAH solid timber houses, designed and constructed by the architectural office Müller & Lehmann. Their timber interior is highlighted by BEGA luminaires from the STUDIO LINE series, which harmonise perfectly with each other and with the interior décor. BEGA wall luminaires with light emission on two sides come to the fore in the living room and bedroom, where their glare-free light contributes to a comfortable living ambiance. The satin black exterior of the luminaires underlines the well-balanced style created by the contrast with the bright timber walls and dark floors. Shielded, matt black BEGA ceiling luminaires complement the wall lights for best effect. The metallic colour on the inside creates an aesthetic play on colours and a comfortably balanced light ambiance. The chalets are particularly inviting for family time after sunset. The comfortable, Scandinavian interior is additionally underlined by BEGA pendant luminaires. Their inner copper colour creates a reddish, invitingly warm light on the tables, over which the pendants are located.

Two unshielded BEGA luminaires from the same product family emit their light along the outer walls of the holiday homes and the pathways. The outdoor wall luminaires and bollards are protected from the elements by a robust, die-cast aluminium frame, which also serves as a characteristic style element.

With the help of BEGA luminaires, the MANOAH holiday homes are indeed a "place of peace" as the Hebrew word suggests.
